The same formula rendered by <a href=\"\/scripts\/search.php\/?q=wp-latex\">wp-latex<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/wp-latex-example.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/wp-latex-example.png\" alt=\"wp-latex output example\" title=\"wp-latex output example\" width=\"92\" height=\"46\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3384\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Both MathJax and wp-latex allow to type in LaTeX formulas directly in the WordPress blog editor. The MathJax rendering is <strong>scalable<\/strong> because <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ajax_%28programming%29\">Ajax<\/a> makes it <strong>dynamic<\/strong> and <strong>adaptive<\/strong>. It\u00a0 looks\u00a0 nicer in modern web browsers. The wp-latex rendering is <strong>unscalable<\/strong> since it relies on a <strong>static<\/strong> bitmap image produced  by LaTeX and dvipng. There is a similar story for images: <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Scalable_Vector_Graphics\">SVG<\/a> versus <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Graphics_Interchange_Format\">GIF<\/a>|<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Portable_Network_Graphics\">PNG<\/a>|<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jpeg\">JPEG<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The installation of MathJax on WordPress is fairly simple.
