According to the probabilist <a title=\"David Aldous is an influencial probabilist\" href=\"http:\/\/www.stat.berkeley.edu\/~aldous\/\">David Aldous<\/a>, this is not a good idea, because \"<a title=\"No Dice!\" href=\"http:\/\/www.stat.berkeley.edu\/~aldous\/Blog\/no_dice.html\"><em>dice are greatly overused, both as a verbal metaphor and as a visual image, and because dice are simply unrepresentative of the way we really do encounter chance in the real world<\/em><\/a>\". He proposes to use for instance dart throws. Personally, I never play darts, and I do believe that dice are\u00a0 conceptually beautiful and\u00a0 truly real for\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Role-playing_game\">game players<\/a>. We may also use cards, coins, stocks, ... any concrete cultural situation expressing randomness.
