{"id":11400,"date":"2019-02-24T09:40:16","date_gmt":"2019-02-24T08:40:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/djalil.chafai.net\/blog\/?p=11400"},"modified":"2019-10-16T17:58:58","modified_gmt":"2019-10-16T15:58:58","slug":"publications","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/djalil.chafai.net\/blog\/2019\/02\/24\/publications\/","title":{"rendered":"Publications"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I have learned recently from my colleague\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/perso.math.univ-toulouse.fr\/cattiaux\/blog-list\/\">Patrick Cattiaux<\/a>\u00a0via Michel Ledoux that is it very easy to get from <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/MathSciNet\">MathSciNet<\/a>\u00a0(MSN) the total number of publications per year. Actually I already knew that from my colleague Jean Dolbeault. It is tempting to play with this data. Here are the graphics obtained with few lines of scripting, for journal articles, books, and proceedings. The numbers depend on the selection of titles made by the Mathematical Reviews, which may vary in time, and which can be seen as a good definition of mathematics at large.<\/p>\n<p><a
