On the technical side, this blog runs over a LAMP Aleutia T1 micro-server connected to the Internet in IPv4+6 via ADSL. This machine is administrated remotely via SSH and has neither a keyboard nor a screen. The stability of the Debian GNU/Linux OS is helpful. The ADSL slow upstream rate explains the slowness of large images display at your side… This server hosts also my static web page and plays the role of a Unison synchronization node via SSH. Running and administrating my own server allows me to maintain a decent level in IT engineering. «Unix IS user friendly, it’s just selective about who its friends are».

Sur le plan technique, ce blog tourne sur un micro-serveur LAMP Aleutia T1 connecté à Internet IPv4+6 en ADSL. Cette machine est administrée à distance en SSH et n’a ni clavier ni écran. La stabilité du SE Debian GNU/Linux facilite les choses. Le débit montant faible de l’ADSL explique la lenteur d’arrivée des grosses images chez vous… Ce serveur héberge également ma page statique, et fait office de nœud de synchronisation Unison sur SSH. M’occuper moi-même de l’hébergement et de l’administration de ce serveur me permet de maintenir un niveau décent d’ingénierie informatique.
